Hoewel The Callisto Protocol nog niet eens is verschenen is al naar buiten gebracht wat we mogen verwachten van de Season Pass die nieuwe downloadable content naar de game brengt.
[Update:] De toevoeging van nieuwe animaties in een Season Pass heeft niet bij iedereen voor enthousiaste reacties gezorgd. Een veelgehoorde kritiek is dat je dit soort extra's niet moet verbergen achter een betaalmuur, toch verdedigt director Glen Schofield zich door te stellen dat ze geen content van de hoofdgame achter houden in de Season Pass. Via Twitter geeft hij aan dat ze nog niet begonnen zijn aan de inhoud van de Season Pass aangezien dit pas in de planning staat voor volgend jaar. Fans zouden de ontwikkelaar hebben gevraagd om meer doodanimaties toe te voegen en ze maken dit een prioriteit voor volgend jaar.
[Eerder bericht:] Onder de content vinden we een nieuw verhalend hoofdstuk, een collectie van skins, een permadeath 'Contagion' mode, de wave-based 'Riot' mode en nieuwe doodanimaties, waaronder dertien voor de protagonist zelf en twaalf voor de monsters waar je mee te maken krijgt.
De Season Pass werd gespot op de Steam pagina en bestaat uit het volgende:

- Riot Bundle: Venture into a previously undiscovered area of Black Iron Prison and battle through waves of brutal enemies. Gather credits to upgrade your weapons, or forge new ones, and survive the onslaught as long as you can in Riot, an all-new mode. The Riot Bundle also includes twelve new enemy death animations and the Engineer Skin Collection.
