Resident Evil is voor Nintendofans een welbekende serie geworden. Alle 'normale' delen kwamen uit op de GameCube en het geniale deeltje 4 debuteerde zelfs op de kubus. Ook de GameBoy heeft een Resident Evil deel gehad, net als de Nintendo 64, maar nu is de Nintendo DS aan de beurt.
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence komt er namelijk aan. Deze tweede remake van de originele Resident Evil zal weer een aantal nieuwe zaken bevatten die vandaag bekend zijn gemaakt. Zo zal het elk moment mogelijk zijn om je mes te gebruiken, moet je mond-op-mond beademing geven via de microfoon en zal de game meer actiegericht zijn. Het touchscreen zal tevens gebruikt moeten worden bij de (nieuwe) puzzels. Maar het mooiste nieuws is toch wel de multiplayer. Resident Evil voor meerdere personen dus!
In Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is het namelijk mogelijk om met twee tot vier spelers draadloos te spelen. In de game zal volgens Capcom een VS-Mode zitten, waarin je punten scoort door de meeste vijanden af te slachten en door het snelst te ontsnappen.
Naast de VS-Mode zal er ook een Co-op mode in de game zitten. Het zal namelijk mogelijk zijn om met twee spelers tegelijk puzzles op te lossen en uit het landhuis te vluchten.

Navigate sub screen menus by using either the touch screen or regular buttons
New enhanced controls
Reload function - allows players to quickly and easily refill their equipped weapons
Quick 180* turn - provides much needed agility to escape dangerous situations
Knife button - permanently mapped knife can be used at any time, reducing one item from the inventory
Microphone function - solve puzzles and even resuscitate your injured teammate by blowing into the microphone
Multiplayer network gameplay in specially created mansion map
Two to four players can play wirelessly
Vs. mode - players compete for high scores by defeating the most enemies and performing the quickest escapes
Cooperative mode - work together with others to solve puzzles, collect items and get out of the mansion
